Flicking through photographs I came across the Birmingham Bear Hunt album.  We had decided to take a day off work and do the Bear Hunt that had taken over Birmingham that year.  There were more miles to cover than we expected in one day but dont think it was designed to do in one day anyway.  

We arrived at Birmingham Museum and were frustrated by the renovations going on as we couldnt find the entrance.  Eventually we got in but again due to the restricted access had ended up on the wrong floor.  We were hungry and our legs ached and think Sandra had decided to take control of our lack of directional prowess by jumping on the first museum curator she found who was minding their own business but Sandra barked out WHERE'S THE BEARS ?  Im not sure who was more surprised, me, the curator or Sandra who then sheepishly said errrr please. 

WHERE'S THE BEARS became a kind of catch phrase of ours when we were looking for something and always, always had us dissolve into giggles remembering the poor curator's face.  

Photo is the only pic that day of San but if you know her well you will recognise the signature footwear, jeans and t-shirt and the fact she hated her photo taken hence no face in the pic
